Howdy! I’m Katelyn M. Holloway and I go by Kate or Katie Punkin, a name my pops bestowed upon me when my head was small enough to fit in one of his hands. The label “Punkin” retired during adolescence, but brought back when a facebook search result for “Katie Holloway” and “Katelyn Holloway” returned over 500+ results. Not wanting to be awash in a sea of generic nomenclature, “Katie Punkin” was reborn (cue John Williams).

I’m currently a web designer/developer in Pittsburgh, PA. I recently graduated from the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University with a master’s degree in Information Management. I also graduated in May 2009 with a master’s degree in New Media from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, also at Syracuse University, and with a bachelor’s degree in History/American studies from SUNY Geneseo in 2007.
